For those of you who have never been to our car show, it is quite an event full of beautiful old and new cars.  The park is full of both car people and campers attending the car show.  Again this year we are going to have a parade of cars out of the park running into Coldspring for an evening of shopping and "hopefully" a band.  We're always looking for some help with this.

 

The judging goes on Saturday and Sunday til afternoon.  During this time our judges will be touring the park in our "official Car Show Mule" and performing their duties as a judge.  Awards will be handed out around 3'ish.

 

The Chamber sells BBQ and the Marina Store teams up with the Chamber selling chips, drinks, candy, all kinds of things anyone would want.  We try to make it easy for all of the participants and visitors to shop and find something they would want. Lisa at the Marina Store also has golf for the kids,  boats for rent, fishing supplies, and has a few camping spots around her store. By the way, if you are planning on attending on Oct 6 and 7th, I suggest you make reservations now for your camping spot.  The park fills up quickly and months before the show. We are hoping to have many vendors this year.  Please,  if you are a merchant, a vendor, any business related to vehicles, either repairing of, or painting, or anything to do with a vehicle, we would love for you to consider being a vendor at or car show.  We have several thousands of people come through the park on that particular weekend and they all are looking for things to buy, ideas, assistance, even insurance.  We also, have had jewelry vendors come out and they do a great job with their items.   We have had an embroider come out and bring their machine and actually work at the show, as well as clothing.  In fact, Crazy Ranch design is going to be one of our vendors this year with clothing and purses etc.

 

The awards this year will be done through sponsors. Each year we look for businesses or individuals to sponsor over 150 trophies. If you are a business and are interested in sponsoring the complete set of awards, please call the Chamber Office as soon as possible - 936-653-2184. This would place your name on ALL trophies as well as our official Car Show shirt and banners.
